Our Learning and Development department welcomes all new hires with an orientation into the company, sharing our culture and values. Team members are also given accounts into our learning management system to complete compliance trainings, continuing education courses, specialized trainings and professional development workshops.
In-person workshops are also conducted annually for multiple departments as well as workshops for supervisors and other leadership positions. We offer multiple training sessions and opportunities to help expand our team members’ knowledge in the field of special education and related services.
With our variety of career paths, we empower new grads and early career specialists with training, mentorship and internship opportunities to grow their careers and become fully certified/licensed in their area of expertise.
Our internship programs offer students hands-on training in the application of occupational, speech and physical therapy concepts to pediatric care by skilled and experienced clinical instructors. We work closely with university programs to align goals and student objectives to meet the standards of national boards and the university expectations.
Our volunteers are given opportunities to observe therapists in action, ask questions, explore materials and resources and help organize and manage clinic tasks.
Both fieldwork students and volunteers must complete appropriate trainings and clearance in order to begin their rotations.
Once our therapists have reached a desired level of experience and completed leadership training and opportunities, they may be offered a Mentor position. This position includes additional (non-caseload) time during the week to provide support and mentorship to therapists, under the direction and supervision from the lead therapists and Director/Assistant Director.
We love having students and volunteers join us, as they are an integral part of making our Related Services department’s experience special. We have unique opportunities for growth in different settings including schools, our clinic and early intervention settings.
